The King’s School in Sydney has appointed a former student as Head of Senior School, among a series of senior leadership appointments at Independent schools across NSW.
The King’s School has appointed Wesley Dunne as Head of Senior School, with the former student returning to lead the Senior School more than two decades after graduating from the Parramatta school.
Mr Dunne, who graduated from The King’s School in 2003, joined the school as a staff member in 2020 as Deputy Head Co-curricular in the Senior School. He has served as Acting Head of Senior School since February 2026 and will now take on the position permanently.
Before returning to King’s, Mr Dunne held senior roles at other prominent NSW and regional Independent schools, including Director of Sport and Activities at Toowoomba Grammar School and Sportsmaster at Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education from Macquarie University and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland.
Founded in 1831, The King’s School is an independent boys’ school from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, with boarding available from Year 7.
In regional NSW, Kinross Wolaroi School has announced two senior appointments ahead of the 2027 school year.
Christopher Ingold has been appointed Head of Senior School, joining from The Riverina Anglican College, where he has been Head of Senior School since 2021.
Mr Ingold began his teaching career at Arndell Anglican College before moving to Blue Mountains Grammar School in 2014. During his time at Blue Mountains Grammar, he taught Legal Studies, Modern History, Extension History and Junior HSIE before becoming a Head of House and later Assistant Director – School Improvement.
At The Riverina Anglican College, his responsibilities have included senior school leadership and programs focused on student transition and development, including the Year 7 orientation program and Year 10 Senior Studies Program.
Mr Ingold holds a Bachelor of Education (Humanities), Bachelor of Arts, Master of Education (Leadership and Management) and Master of Commerce.
Mr Ryan Caldwell has also been appointed Head of Teaching & Learning, commencing in 2027.
Mr Caldwell joins Kinross Wolaroi from New England Girls’ School, where he has been Director of Teaching and Learning since 2022.
His experience includes curriculum leadership, teaching and learning, academic improvement and professional development. He will join the school’s Senior Leadership Team alongside Mr Ingold.
Kinross Wolaroi is a co-educational independent day and boarding school in Orange, serving students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
The school has also announced the appointment of Catherine Litchfield as Deputy Principal and Trent Chapman as Head of Student Pathways, with both appointments forming part of its leadership structure for 2027.
At Ravenswood School for Girls, Tom Riley has been appointed Deputy Principal – Head of Senior School.
Mr Riley joins Ravenswood from Pymble Ladies’ College, where he was a member of the Senior Executive Team and held positions including Head of Upper School and Head of the Vision Valley Campus.
His experience spans teaching, senior school leadership, student engagement, wellbeing and strategic initiatives across the independent school sector.
Mr Riley holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Graduate Diploma of Education and Master of Leadership and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ravenswood is an independent girls’ school in Sydney offering education from Kindergarten to Year 12.
At St Patrick’s College, Strathfield, Alex Sinadinos has taken on a short-term appointment as Acting Deputy Principal.
Mr Sinadinos joined St Patrick’s in 2022 after previously working at Marist College Kogarah. His roles at St Patrick’s have included Director of Middle School, Head of PDHPE and Acting Director of Wellbeing.
He holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Queensland, a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education from the Australian Catholic University and teaching qualifications from the University of Technology Sydney.
The appointment comes ahead of a change in the College’s principalship, with Dr Stephen Gough appointed to succeed Dr Vittoria Lavorato as Principal in 2027.
St Patrick’s College is an independent Catholic boys’ school in the Edmund Rice tradition.
