STAR OF THE SEA COLLEGE

Founded in 1883 by the Presentation Sisters, the school stresses the importance of researched decision-making, critical thinking and creativity, as well as the basic skills of literacy and numeracy and bases its values on the Christian Gospel. Uniform
is compulsory.Curriculum: VCE subjects include Religious Education, Languages (Italian, German and Japanese) and the traditional core subjects along with specialisation possible in Humanities, Sciences and the Arts. VET courses in Multimedia, Business Administration and Hospitality are offered in Years 11 and 12 alongside the VCE.

Extra-curricular activities: Drama, school musical, music festival, public speaking, debating, instrumental groups, art, music camps and talent quests, social justice, student representative and environment groups, peer support and Rainbow Spectrum programs.

Student welfare programs: Students are encouraged to grow as independent, thinking women, aware of their talents and sensitive to others, developing a sense of social justice and awareness of disadvantages to others. The school has full-time careers, family and student counsellors.
