Arden Anglican School is in the final stages of construction of a $21 million redevelopment of its Epping Campus. This five-storey building commenced construction in late 2018 and will be opened for the first day of school in 2020.
Located on Essex Street in Epping, this project will allow the Secondary School students (Years 7-12) to be located within the one building for the first time since Arden opened its Secondary Campus in 2003.
Principal Graham Anderson says he was confident that both the School Community as well as the surrounding residents and local business community will appreciate the new building. “There is great expectation surrounding our new 21st century facilities,” he says, “and we look forward to opening our doors and sharing this new space, which is designed to maintain the vibrant, co-educational and caring Christian approach that Arden is so well known for.”
The new facility will include a Creative Arts Centre in the heart of the building. This 500-plus seat auditorium is where students, staff, parents and community will gather, celebrate, worship and perform. In addition, there will be Science laboratories, Food Technology kitchen, Resource Centre, Technology workshops, Multimedia and Design laboratories, general classrooms, administration, student services, basement car park and a rooftop terrace for passive recreation.
The existing building will be refurbished and cleverly integrated with the new construction by architects, Stanton Dahl. “We are committed to providing the best facilities possible for current and future generations of Arden learners,” adds Mr Anderson.
Arden will host an Open Day on Friday 13 March 2020 for prospective families to view this new facility, along with its Junior School Campus in Beecroft.
