From the energy and excitement of Junior School to the conversations and aspirations of our Senior students, Calrossy Principal Mr Mark Lewis enjoys connecting with students of all ages, building relationships and celebrating every stage of their learning journey.

A strong heritage, a fresh perspective and an exciting vision for the future. Calrossy Anglican School is entering a new chapter, building on generations of educational excellence while embracing new opportunities, renewed leadership and a clear commitment to preparing young people for life beyond the classroom.

Following his appointment as Calrossy’s 17th Principal in January 2026, Mr Mark Lewis has spent his first year getting to know the students, families and staff who make up the School community, while helping shape its direction for the years ahead.

“One of Calrossy’s greatest strengths is that families don’t have to choose between academic ambition and character development, university and practical pathways, or strong regional roots and opportunities beyond them,” Mr Lewis said.

“We want every student to be known, supported and encouraged to grow in confidence, character and capability, with the opportunities to pursue their own interests and aspirations.”

This philosophy is helping shape Calrossy’s emerging five-year Strategic Plan, which builds on the School’s Christian foundations and its commitment to excellence, while recognising the changing needs of students and families.

Central to the developing strategy is a focus on students being Equipped, Formed and Connected – equipped through curiosity and learning, formed in faith and character, and connected through belonging, meaningful relationships and service.

“Education is about more than academic results. It is about who our young people become, the values they carry and how they contribute to the communities around them,” Mr Lewis said.

“Every child has different strengths, interests and ambitions. Our role is to provide the guidance, encouragement and opportunities that help them discover their own purpose and pathway.”

Joining Mr Lewis in this next chapter is Mr Brett Sharrock, who commences as Deputy Principal in 2027. With more than 25 years of experience in Christian education, Mr Sharrock brings extensive expertise in school leadership, curriculum and teaching and learning.

Together, the leadership team will continue strengthening the breadth and excellence of a Calrossy education.

From Early Learning to Year 12, Calrossy offers families choice and flexibility through day schooling, girls’ and boys’ boarding, and eCalrossy Distance Education, expanding to Year 10 in 2027.

Calrossy’s unique dual campus structure combines, a co-educational Junior School, alongside targeted single-sex learning in Years 7–9 and co-ed senior schooling, while extensive sporting, agricultural, creative, leadership and service opportunities encourage students to discover new interests and develop their potential.

For Mr Lewis, the future is about building on what makes Calrossy special while ensuring the School continues to meet the aspirations of families across the region and beyond. For Calrossy this means maintaining a high standard of academic excellence and outcomes, alongside increased vocational opportunities.

“We want our students to leave Calrossy equipped for whatever comes next, grounded in strong values and character, and connected to the people and communities who have helped shape them.”
