Two Victorian schools have announced new Principals who will take up their roles in 2027, with Michael O’Keeffe appointed Principal of Notre Dame College Shepparton and Mrs Terrie Jones named the next Principal of Melbourne Girls Grammar.
Mr O’Keeffe will commence at Notre Dame College in January 2027. He is currently Deputy Principal – Learning and Innovation at John Paul College Frankston.
Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited announced Mr O’Keeffe’s appointment, following a search for a successor to former Notre Dame Principal John Cortese. The organisation also acknowledged Acting Principal Emma Reynoldson for her leadership during the transition.
At Melbourne Girls Grammar, Mrs Terrie Jones will become the school’s 13th Principal at the beginning of Term 1, 2027.
Mrs Jones is currently Principal of Canberra Girls Grammar School and will succeed Dr Toni Meath, who is retiring at the end of 2026. Melbourne Girls Grammar Chair of Council Diana Nicholson announced the appointment following a national and international search.
Mrs Jones has previously held senior leadership roles at St Michael’s Grammar School, Ravenswood School for Girls and Abbotsleigh.
Both appointments will take effect at the beginning of the 2027 school year.
