Opened in May 2025, International Grammar School (IGS) launched its new purpose-built Kindergarten Centre, creating a space where the School’s youngest learners can thrive in their very first year of school.
Every detail has been thoughtfully designed with children in mind, from flexible learning spaces and tactile materials to a joyful, one-of-a-kind slide. The result is an enchanting environment that nurtures imagination, builds confidence and fosters a lifelong love of learning.
Kindergarten Open Mornings
Families interested in Kindergarten are warmly invited to visit during one of the Centre’s immersive Open Mornings hosted by Head of Kindergarten to Year 2 Erin Reedy and Deputy Principal Junior School Sarah Herbert. Our Open Mornings give families insight into how IGS nurtures curiosity, confidence and a love of learning from the very first day of school.
The morning offers a rich mix of indoor and outdoor play for children, alongside a teacher-led reading session. Children will also take part in a language experience and a joyful music session that incorporates movement, dancing and singing. Families are invited to gather for morning tea, providing a relaxed opportunity to connect and engage with our staff while children enjoy craft and play experiences.
