Roseville College HSC Outcomes

Roseville College Class of 2019 graduates are celebrating strong results in the HSC, celebrating four All Round Achievers, 176 mentions on the 2019 HSC Distinguished Achievers list, and 58 per cent of the cohort achieving an ATAR above 90.

Principal, Ms Deb Magill, says the college is very proud of each student in the Class of 2019 for persevering to achieve her best. She announced the 2019 Premier’s All Round Achievers as Olivia Lane, Caitlin Baksa, Jessica Wicks and Lucy Feyen (photographed), with Jessica Wicks announced as the HSC Dux.

“Our 2019 HSC results reflect outstanding individual achievement by our Year 12 graduates, as well as 13 inclusions on the Distinguished Achievers Lists by Year 11 HSC accelerant candidates,” says Ms Magill.

“It is vital that, alongside our students, I celebrate their teachers who have worked tirelessly toward realising today’s results. As a college, we are thrilled with results in 15 different courses where 100 per cent of students achieved results in the top 2 bands, including in seven rigourous extension courses,” she says. “In addition to 15 nominations and selections for NESA showcases, including 100 per cent of the students studying Design and Technology being nominated for SHAPE, students also received awards for exemplary essays and research projects in History Extension and Science Extension subjects.”

The four Premier’s All Round Achievers were delighted but humbled by today’s results, agreeing that perseverance was a key to their individual results. With their results in hand, Olivia and Lucy aspire to study law/psychology and arts/law respectively, while Caitlin and Jessica aim to pursue STEM careers in biomedical/chemical engineering and biomedical engineering/medicine respectively.

“Roseville is a very special school,” says Jessica, who was a Year 12 Prefect. “I am very lucky to have had such a well-rounded education, from teachers who really do care.”

Ms Magill acknowledges the pressure on girls to secure places in their preferred university course and applauds the Class of 2019 for a 78 per cent success rate for university early admissions offers to five leading universities.
