TRINITY CATHOLIC COLLEGE

Trinity Catholic College is a school in the Marist tradition. It is a dual-campus college, with the specialty Years 7 and 8 campus located at Regents Park and the Years 9 to 12 campus located at Auburn. The college crest consists of the Catholic cross and the Southern Cross standing together, expressing pride in the community’s Catholic faith and Australian heritage.

Facilities: The Middle School campus building project features a well-designed, purpose-built, contemporary learning environment to cater for the needs and interests of young people today.

Curriculum: The Trinity community is committed to excellence in learning and teaching and their consistently strong academic results speak for themselves. The college’s principles of learning and teaching capture the belief that quality student learning is motivating, deep, communal and contextualised. Trinity’s intention for its students is that they are hopeful, engaged, resourceful and disciplined. It is these aims that inform the daily work of all students and teachers.

Sport: Sport is a part of the curriculum at Trinity Catholic College. All students participate in a sports program each Thursday afternoon, and have the opportunity to participate in representative sports and carnivals. The college is a member of both the Metropolitan Catholic Schools’ Association (MCSA) and the Metropolitan Combined Catholic Schools’ Association (MCCS), which hold competitions for a variety of sports for girls and boys. The MCS provides boys with inter-school competition sports such as athletics, basketball, cricket, cross-country, golf, rugby league, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, tennis, touch football and volleyball. The MCCS provides inter-school competition for girls in athletics, volleyball, AFL, swimming, softball, soccer, tennis, netball, touch football, basketball, hockey, chess and athletics.

Extra-curricular activities: Debating, public speaking, music, choir and drama are all enthusiastically supported. Trinity Catholic College also participates in REMAR, a Catholic youth initiative, and various other Marist and social justice activities in order to nurture the students’ Catholic faith. Students have the opportunity to engage in World Youth Day, Youth Camps, and Reflection Days, Retreats and activities to serve the community.
