Sydney Science College was founded in 2021 as a specialist STEM senior school. At the heart of our innovative approach are exceptionally small classes of just 8 students—the ideal environment for deep engagement, problem-based learning, and individual attention that allows each student to strive for their personal best.
Facilities
Our campus combines modern-industrial character with specialised STEM facilities for hands-on exploration. We have university-standard teaching laboratories, equipped with advanced scientific instruments and cutting-edge tools like an industrial carbon fiber 3D printer. In these dynamic spaces, students bring theory to life through hands-on experiments and engineering challenges.
Curriculum
Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science Extension), Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Ext 1 and Ext 2, English Advanced and Ext 1.
Students interested in studying additional arts and humanities subjects can apply to do so through external providers like Sydney Distance Education High School and the NSW School of Languages.
Sport
Climbing is our official school sport, with weekly indoor bouldering and termly outdoor trips led by seasoned climbers on our staff. Often described as a vertical puzzle, climbing encourages students to discover the joy of problem-solving on the wall in a safe, supportive environment.
Alongside climbing, students often spend breaks playing table tennis and soccer—great ways to unwind, stay active, and connect with classmates.

Our senior school is a vibrant, supportive and engaged community where students are treated as the young adults they’re becoming—encouraged to express their individuality, think independently, and take ownership of their learning.
Beyond the classroom, school life is enriched by social gatherings, camps and other shared experiences that build lasting connections and strengthen our thriving community. Co-curricular activities include mechatronics, coding, robotics, creative workshops, special interest clubs, Australian Science Olympiads and more.
