St Edmund’s was founded by the Christian Brothers in 1954 and caters
for boys from Years 4 to 12. Students of all abilities and talents are educated
here in a Catholic environment.

Facilities: Senior and junior libraries, computer-equipped
classrooms, four ovals, comprehensive technology and applied studies
facilities, music rooms, gymnasium.

Elective subjects: The curriculum is diverse and conforms to ACT

Sport: Competitive teams are fielded by the school in rugby, hockey,
soccer, Australian Rules, cricket, swimming, athletics, basketball and
cross-country. Orienteering is offered as a leisure activity.

Extracurricular activities: Debating, public speaking, chess,
concert bands, string ensemble, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.

Welfare and personal development: The school’s welfare system
incorporates peer support and an extensive pastoral care structure to care for
the interests of each student.

Special features: Each student spends one week each year at The
Pines, a field study centre owned by the school and situated on the NSW South
Coast. The school has a sound academic record and many students progress to
tertiary studies.
