SEAVIEW HIGH SCHOOL

Seaview High School is a co-educational, state, secondary school in the Southern suburbs that warmly welcomes students into the close-knit community.

Situated 20 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, Seaview High School is nestled along the picturesque hills-face zone, which surrounds the city with a view of Adelaide’s coastline.

Facilities: Heating and cooling, 2 Gymnasiums, a Human Performance room and Weights room, dedicated Computer rooms, Digital Technology Resource Centre and specialist areas for Visual Art, Craft, Dance, Drama, Music, Photography and Home Economics; Language Centre, Science Laboratories and Technology Centre.

Electives Years 7 to 10: Australian Curriculum and SA mandated curriculum frameworks.

Electives Years 11 and 12: SACE, LinCS, Trade Schools and TAFE to access Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. Students are able to combine academic subjects with School Based Apprenticeships, or Vocational Educational Training (VET) options to complete their SACE. Seaview currently offers Certificate II & III in Creative Industries, Media, Certificate III in Technical Production, Music Industry and Recording, Certificate III in Rural Care and Animal Husbandry and Certificate I Automotive at the school.

Sport: Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Netball, Cricket, Soccer and Football.

Extracurricular activities: Performing Arts, Sports, Performing Arts, Clubs and Activities, Year Level Camps, Ski Trips, Student Leadership, Community Service, Public Speaking, Youth Forums, Student Voice and Overseas Cultural Trips. At Seaview High School we encourage all students to be active members of the community. We celebrate the important contributions they make to our school and to society.

Welfare and personal development: Pastoral Care session, Wellbeing and Support Service Team includes: 2 counsellors who provide personal counselling, pathways planning and personal development programs a Christian Pastoral Support Worker (Chaplain) and an Aboriginal Education Worker and Year Level Managers.

Special features: Innovation and Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).  As a specialist school, students are able to work with Flinders University’s departments of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics, Medical Device Research Institute and Nanoscale Science and Technology located at the Tonsley Precinct.
