NSW School of Languages is part of the NSW Department of Education and provides a service by distance education to students in Years 9 to 12 from both government and non-government schools. Principals of secondary schools may apply to enrol students in language courses not offered at their school. Enrolment is subject to satisfying guidelines issued by the Department of Education. Students are taught using online lessons, audio files, video conferencing, telephone and face-to-face lessons at the school. Enrolment applications must be received at the school by the end of November.
