NOOSA DISTRICT STATE HIGH SCHOOL

Noosa District State High School is a co-educational secondary school with Years 7 and 8 at the Pomona Campus and Years 9 to 12 at the Cooroy Campus. The two campuses are situated in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

The school delivers a broad range of academic and vocational learning experiences to approximately 1340 students. Noosa District State High School is renowned for its Marine Studies, Agriculture, Live Theatre and Production, and Hospitality programs which are complemented by opportunities for students to excel in the cultural, sporting and leadership areas. The strong business and industry support within the school enables extension programs such as Australian Business Week, F1 Cars Technology Challenge, 4×4 In Schools, Subs In Schools and Aerospace.

A Special Education Program caters for students with disabilities and learning difficulties as well as mentoring indigenous students and overseeing Gifted and Talented programs. The teaching staff are highly experienced, having taught in a variety of settings.

The school’s motto is ‘Industria Vincit Omnia’ which means Industry Conquers All. It is used along with the Vision of ‘Excellence Through Diversity’, reflecting the school’s ability as a high performing school. The school aims to provide a safe, harmonious environment which empowers students to excel as lifelong learners and become active responsible citizens.
