MOURA STATE HIGH SCHOOL

Moura State High School is a school committed to providing access to a quality education for young people in the Dawson Valley. It provides a dynamic approach to education with the focus on maximising opportunities for students to explore ‘what’s possible’ and then providing them with the skills to reach their goals. Strength of curriculum at the school is vindicated with Moura SHS – in capacity as a Lighthouse school of excellence in Explicit Instruction – hosting staff from other schools.

Moura State High School has developed strong, supportive relationships with our students, parents and the wider Moura community and the school values the contributions these groups make. The P&C is extremely active and supportive; enhancing many of the student opportunities on offer.

Through embracing technology, students can access a wide range of curriculum options in both the Junior and Senior Phases of Learning, through Virtual Schooling and enrolment in School of Distance Education to supplement school-based subject options, ensuring the subject choices available to senior students support their career aspirations.

Moura State High School has dedicated staff committed to providing positive learning opportunities to young people. The school’s combination of experienced quality teachers and young, energetic, new teachers provides the ideal learning environment for students.

Special features: A special needs unit attached to the high school has its main base at Moura Primary School.
