Miami State High School is small but prosperous, and sits in a great location behind Nobby Headland only a minute’s walk from the surf. Student enrolment is 1269 students across Year levels 7 to 12 with a teaching staff of 97.
Miami State High School is rich in tradition and distinguished with many triumphs over the years in events of academic skill, sporting prowess and performing arts. Many graduating classes over the past years have performed above the state averages in senior performance results.

The students also make use of the beautiful local beaches where they are taught surf survival, surfing and body boarding.
