MANNUM COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Mannum Community College is situated in the Murray River township of Mannum which is approximately an hour and a half drive from Adelaide. The school has excellent facilities and is set in well maintained grounds. They offer classes from reception to year 12. They also offer an independent learning program for students who wish to complete their SACE through a flexible learning option. The learning programs are delivered by a committed teaching team and well trained support staff. They have completed a School Community Partnership Agreement for ATSI children and their families to better ensure that the whole school community works together to provide for the best possible learning pathways and outcomes for ATSI children.

Facilities: Community Library, Canteen, Science Labs, Canteen, Home Economics Centre, soft and hard play areas, a large oval and a swimming pool and two large shade areas.

Electives Years 7 to 10: The curriculum is made up of the four Australian curriculum core subjects, English, Maths Science, History/Geography and countries with the rollout of the AC in LOTE, the Arts, HPE and Technology.

Electives Years 11 and 12: Music, Choir, Visual Arts classes including Design, Painting and Drawing, Clay, Sculpture; Technology units including Woodwork, Metalwork, Pedal Prix, Textiles, Food and Hospitality; and ICT (including VET certificate courses).

Sport: Swimming, Athletics, SAPSASA, CMASSA, SASSSA, Gymnasium, Basketball and Squash courts.

Welfare and personal development: Guidance Officer, Speech Therapist, Interagency Behavioural Management support, Disability Support, Distance Education, Instrumental Music and the EDGE Centre.

Special features: Reading Recovery • Guided Reading, Asia Week, Thukabi Pulgi, Swimming for students with Disabilities, Pedal Prix, Choir and Instrumental Music, Aquatics Camp, Sensory Integration Program, Riding for the Disabled, Participation in community events, Art Exhibition, Camp Creatif.
