The intent of Kirwan State High School is to provide educational excellence for tomorrow’s citizens. Its philosophy is to enable greatness through an inclusive culture underpinned by a mindful school community built on professionalism, continuous improvement and accountability.

Subjects/Electives Years 7 to 10: Business and Industry English, English, Humanities, Information, Communication and Technology, Learning Support, LOTE, Mathematics, Science, Special Education, Sport, Student Wellbeing, The Arts.

Sport: Sport is a primary aspect of life in North Queensland and the school’s successful programs have resulted in outstanding results at zone, regional, state and national levels.

Special features: Offers Vocational Education and specialist programs in Academic Excellence, ARTIE (Achieving Results through Indigenous Education), Dance Excellence Academy, Music Excellence, and Sports Excellence.
