ELANORA STATE HIGH SCHOOL


The principal of Elanora State High School is proud to lead the co-educational, comprehensive state high school. In 2014 a new personalised enrolment service for incoming Year 8 students was established.

Electives years 7 to 10: Business and IT studies, English, Industrial Technology and Graphics, Marine and Aquatic Recreation, Mathematics, Physical Education, Science, Studies of Society & the Environment, The Arts.

Electives Years 11 and 12: As above.

Sport: Weekly sport at Elanora State High School allows students to participate in a range of physical pursuits from organised inter-school team competitions to individual recreational style sports. AFL, basketball, cricket, netball, rugby league, touch, soccer, volleyball and fitness first. Golf, aerial angels, surfing, fitness first, tenpin bowling, ice skating, fishing, running club, tennis, body boarding, surf craft, standup paddle boarding, clowning, chess.

Welfare and personal development: Chaplains, Guidance Officer, Indigenous Liaison Officer, School nurse.

Special features: Excellence programs – Academic Class of Excellence, Junior Dance Academy, Senior Dance Academy. Elanora State High School is accredited by Education Queensland International (EQI) as a destination school for international students, CRICOS code 00608A. An International Home Stay Coordinator liaises with host families, international students and their agents.
