Facilities: Cavendish Road State High School has extensive sporting facilities including a gym, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts and well-maintained ovals to cater for the full range of outdoor sports. The school hall and auditorium are used for a range of school activities. The school operates a canteen and uniform shop, and also has an accredited biotechnology teaching laboratory. The resource centre (library) is a hub for learning, technology and enrichment activities. 

Sport: The school excels in the area of sport, with excellence programs in football, rugby league/touch and netball. It offers Sporting Academies in football (Soccer), Rugby League/Touch and Netball.

Extracurricular activities: Australian Air Force Cadets, drama club, exchange tours, instrumental music, Kokoda challenge, Opti-Minds, school musical, ski trip, world challenge, Year 12 Formal.

Welfare and personal development: Pastoral care and peer support with a zero tolerance approach to bullying.

Special features: A strong emphasis on Science and Mathematics that leads to an early start in university courses which leads to programs such as medicine, biotechnology, aviation and engineering.

International Program – the school offers students a variety of opportunities and pathways for international students including Senior schooling/University Pathways, Middle school program, Study Abroad Programs, Student Exchange Program, Study tours.
