Nestled amongst bare rolling hills and located 155 km north of Adelaide and 45km east of Clare the historic town of Burra serves the surrounding rich farming, grazing and pastoral country, several secondary industries and a vital tourist industry.

With its excellent amenities and infrastructure, the town is also the administrative centre for the Regional Council of Goyder. Burra Community School welcomes a vibrant cross section of students, teaching and support staff within its well-appointed buildings and spacious grounds. All are encouraged and challenged to give of their best and to achieve personal goals within the supportive, safe and friendly environment that makes up the school as a whole.
