BUNDABERG NORTH STATE HIGH SCHOOL

Bundaberg North State High School’s core business is the academic curriculum. North students are encouraged to try a range of activities, including those they are not already good at, to experience all aspects of school life and to be part of a genuine learning culture, where staff and students seek out new challenges and share their successes.

Facilities: Extensive computer facilities, with 1:1 computer availability for Years 9-12 and 1:2 for Year 8, and wireless connectivity throughout the school, five newly refurbished science laboratories, a large resource centre with access to over 5000 educational videos and ‘Click View’, a multi-purpose hall for performances and social events, new sporting structures, including an oval with underground irrigation system, an instrument borrowing system for students involved with the school’s musical activities, new engineering workshops, and an industry-quality hospitality kitchen.

Extracurricular activities: Bundaberg North State High School offers a number of extra-curricular clubs and groups for students to participate in.

Special features: North Bundaberg SHS is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and delivers a number of nationally recognised vocational qualifications. The LEAP program is an application-only program aimed at extending the engagement of gifted and talented learners. In 2015, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 may apply.
