Regents Park Christian School students have continued to demonstrate exceptional dedication and achievement in Education Perfect’s Global Languages Championships, particularly in Latin.
Our journey began in 2021, when 15 Year 7 students entered the online Latin competition. Over the course of one week, students committed their time after school to develop their language skills and deepen their understanding of Latin. Their efforts were rewarded with a first-place finish in the category for schools with up to 50 students.
Since then, participation has grown significantly. From 2022 to 2026, an average of 45 students from Years 7 to 10 have represented the school each year. Competing against schools with significantly larger cohorts, our students have achieved outstanding results, placing first overall in five years and second place in one year. These results reflect both consistency and excellence at a very high level of competition.
The Education Perfect Languages Championships is an international online competition that encourages students to strengthen their language skills through interactive learning. Students earn points by completing curriculum aligned tasks in vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. The competition fosters both individual achievement and team collaboration, making it a valuable and engaging experience for participants.
A key strength of our Latin teams has been their strong sense of encouragement and unity. Students motivate one another, celebrate progress, and challenge themselves to reach new personal bests. This positive environment, combined with goal setting and perseverance, has enabled each student to grow in confidence and ability.
Our school community gathered in chapel for a special presentation to recognise these outstanding achievements. Students were acknowledged for their commitment, effort, and success in the competition. It was a meaningful time of celebration, giving thanks for the gifts and opportunities that enable our students to flourish.
We congratulate all students involved in the Latin competition over the past six years. Their dedication and teamwork continue to bring honour to our school community.
