The College provides affordable Christian education where children
are taught that there are absolutes in life: that there is a true and a false,
right and wrong. Penrith Anglican College is located in Orchard Hills, just
south of Penrith and close to the Northern Road exit of the M4 Motorway.

Facilities: All facilities of the College are very new. Learning
centres exist in each of the semi-underground, earth shelter classrooms. Each
learning centre houses state-of-the-art computer technology and this technology
is integral to the learning programs of the College.

Special features: Students from Years 1 to 12 are not necessarily
taught in their cohort groups for English and Mathematics but are taught in
ability groups. All students from Kindergarten to Year 8 undertake studies in
Music and Visual Arts. All students in Years 3 to Year 6 learn a musical
instrument (violin, clarinet, trumpet, guitar, percussion or flute) as part of
their music program. Students are taught by Christian staff and undertake
studies in Divinity as well as attend, take part in and lead weekly chapel

Electives: In Years 9 and 10 electives include Commerce, Information
and Software Technology, German, Elective Geography, Physical Activity and
Sports Studies, Textiles Technology, Food Technology, Music, Elective History,
Drama, Japanese, Visual Arts, Design and Technology, Photographic and Digital
Media and Tutorial.

In Years 11 and 12: Students have the option of undertaking the NSW
Higher School Certificate course or the International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme. Subject lists for both courses are available from the College.

Sport: The College is a member of NASSA and is involved in a number
of different sports including netball, basketball, softball, rowing, soccer,
rugby, hockey and cricket.

Extracurricular activities: The College offers a very extensive
peripatetic music program as well as band, choir, dance groups, debating,
